Wonderland - Queen of Hearts

Alice Carlson, a woman of age 73, collapses from a stroke and awakens to find herself in a strange land, her body now returned to the youthful state of 13. She must find her way back home to the world she knows or be trapped forever in this realm between Earth, Heaven, and Hell. Welcome to Wonderland.

Without further ado, I give you the Queen of Hearts. She is the Angel of Judgement who weighs the hearts of those lost in Wonderland. She decides if they are worthy of Heaven or are to be condemned to Hell. She is the gate keeper and the only one with the power to return Alice to Earth... but is Alice meant to return?

Justice is blind, so her heavenly eyes are unseen. She examines one's heart through the ruby covering her mind's eye. Her bladed wings do her bidding cutting down whomever she deems guilty.

Most surely the bane of my existence, the Queen of Hearts was a real b*tch to draw and color but I still loved every moment of it. I pretty much based half the costume as well as the pose from one particular character by Hyung Tae Kim... mostly because the woman just screamed of "Queen" material... that and because I'm tired... oh so tired. -_- Done with the characters but got two more layouts to go.

DISCLAIMER: This is a project I've been working on for my Visual Development class. I chose Alice in Wonderland as my story and Hyung Tae Kim as my artist to base my style off of. So before anyone starts accusing me of copying him, please understand that's how it's supposed to be.
