"I want adventure in the great wide somewhere I want it more than I can tell And for once it might be grand To have someone understand I want so much more than they've got planned" -Belle
My third in the line of "Disney Successors," I give you the son of Belle and the Beast, Prince Beau.
Yes yes, Beau means "handsome" in French. Seeing as his mother's name means "beauty" it only seemed fitting. Beau is definitely a dreamer like his mother. Many a time has he found himself wrapped up in a good adventure book while secretly wishing to go out and make his own adventures. Sadly, his responsibilities to the throne and restoring his father's kingdom keeps him confined mostly to the castle grounds a lot of the time. The scars? Heh, well I added those a little later to that pretty boy face of his. When he was just a boy I imagine Beau escaping the royal grounds and venturing out into the forest for some exploration. Sadly, he only found trouble. Specifically those horrid wolves that always seem to be prowling the surrounding woods. He was attacked but his father and castle guards arrived in time to save him. I kind of like the idea of having such a blemish upon the face of someone named "Beau." Irony is always a tasty addition to a story.
As far as creating him, it was amazing how much this boy switched between looking like his mother to his father and back again. Just the smallest change of his hair or eyes really changed everything. Truth be told, I always found the Beast's human form to be kind of ugly. He has a huge forehead and looks like a descendant of the Hunchback of Notre Dame With that said, I decided that his son would get the best from both parents. He's got his father's strong nose and chin but his mother's eye shape and smaller forehead Enjoy.
EDIT: Darkened his hair a bit, I think it helps show a bit more of his mom in him
I want to say that you did a great job with this one. Even with that scar he is pretty handsome. He certainly looks like his father. And, after reading the description it sounds like he has a lot of his mother in him.
I can't help but enjoy this series. You've done a great job of combining some of my favorite couples.
The drawings good but am I the only one who thinks the beast in beauty and the beast could have looked well I don't know less ugly? He was hedious!!! They should have made him hotter
If I didn't know better I would have thought this was a screen shot from the Beauty and the beast sequel never that was never made His eyes are just beautiful...and I love his scar - some would see it as a disfigurement, but it really adds to his character!
I love Beau's look, his name and the irony you have cooked up for it, his history - he sounds like a character who would be really easy to care for!
